Being an in-house photographer and filmmaker working alongside engineers has been a pretty great backup choice. — I grew up chasing hawks and singing to deer in the hilly terrain of Northern California. Now I love to witness, participate in & celebrate teams of people solving some of the world’s hardest problems. I know how to find the stories, create iconic imagery, work within teams and seamlessly augment them. Currently at Rain (autonomous firefighting helicopters, for a moment at Kittyhawk (flying cars) and previously as Makani (giant energy kites) I serve as a digital storyteller and person-of-many-skills. My work was been featured in press outlets internationally. Prior to becoming embedded at Makani I was making documentary work about terrace agriculture in the Andes of Peru, after making photojournalism books, and having graduated with a degree in photography from Parsons in New York City. I live in the Bay Area with my husband, son, cat and a sourdough culture.
